I am solicitor with over 15 years experience in employment law. I started my own niche practice working from home and specialising exclusively in employment law in 2005, and have been running it for over 10 years. My company clients include a significant number of small to medium sized businesses based in the south east, many of which I have advised for several years or more. I am an active member of the Employment Lawyer’s Association.
Many of my employee clients come from personal recommendations from people who I have advised in the past. A personal recommendation is the best way of finding a solicitor but due to tightly worded confidentiality clauses which are always included in settlement agreements, it is not always easy for someone who is suddenly faced with a need for an employment solicitor to source a personal recommendation. Please do look at the testimonials on this website, especially if you are in this position.
My career in employment law began at Croner Consulting in 1996 where I spent 3 years as an Employment Law Consultant gaining considerable experience in representing employer clients at employment tribunals and taking my turn in manning a helpline service that dealt with a high volume of queries on employment related issues.
I left Croners in order to qualify as a solicitor at Midlands based firm Brethertons, which I did in November 2000 prior to moving south in 2001 and joining the employment team at Cripps Ltd in Tunbridge Wells. I worked at Cripps for 4 years gaining considerable experience in a wide range of employment law issues, acting for employees at all levels whilst also continuing to advise employer clients.
My first degree is a BSc in Geography from King’s College, London University and following this I graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Durham University Business School, which has stood me in good stead for running my own business. Later I was awarded a Commendation in the Post Graduate Diploma in Law from De Montfort University in Leicester.
